Relative poverty is also an issue in Liechtenstein and the neighboring Rhine Valley. 8 - 10% of families can barely afford the bare essentials, let alone take advantage of medically indicated therapies for their children if these are not covered by health insurance or disability insurance and exceed the family's budget. If the children or parents also have a disability or mental or physical illness, these families need financial support to avoid further strain or excessive demands to the detriment of the child.
In cooperation with pediatricians in Liechtenstein, we cover medically indicated therapy costs, support services for parents or aids such as special bicycles for disabled children.
